Myths and Legends

During the iron Age, myths and legends would have passed down over the years by word of mouth. Iron Age people rarely wrote, probably because important people were able to restrict knowledge in this way.

Storytelling would have been not only a popular way of passing the long winter evenings in the glow of a roundhouse hearth, but an important means of remembering past events and preserving lineage.
